Here is a list of historical events that happened in Panama in 1941.
During the era of fascism, there were events that affected many people’s lives, even today. In Panama, political leaders were also responsible for making a mark in Panamanian history that was associated with fascism. “Just like Panama gave the United States land to build the Canal, it can also give land to the Nazis, so they can build whatever they want here and help us against imperialism.” This was part of a speech made on October 1940 at the inauguration of a Pro-Nazi political leader in Panama. Some of the political leaders of that time became very close to fascist groups. This was because they were sent as chancellors to European countries where these groups first appeared. It is also said that some of these leaders worked with the Nazis to execute many Jews in Panama.

In 1940, the constitution was changed to include ideas about racial cleaning. This meant that the Hebrew race was considered undesirable. New rules made it harder for different ethnic groups to become citizens of Panama. They also stopped people of Chinese, Jewish and Arab origin from owning businesses, trading or owning property. At the moment, this part of Panamanian history has been forgotten, but it still affects many people’s lives in a subtle way so that no one suspects anything. In October 1941, the Panamanian government was overthrown by a military coup. The United States supported this coup because Panama had allowed a fleet of Nazi ships to cross the Panama Canal.

The president who was there at the time arrived by ship, was put in prison in Colon and then sent to the Model Prison. Then in October 1941, he was sent back to a country in Central America. After suffering political persecution in different South American countries, the former pro-Nazi political leader moved to a South American country, where he found friends who shared his political beliefs.
